From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Genre
British Eurobeat (Stock Aitken Waterman) · In the mid-1980s a new pop sound emerged in England out of Italo disco and Hi-NRG: British Eurobeat. The producer trio Stock Aitken Waterman worked like a factory: the same studio, the same musicians, only the singers changed. More than a hundred Top 40 hits came out of their studio in London.
