Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Artist
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart travelled across Europe as a child prodigy and in 1781 settled in Vienna as a freelance musician. He mastered every genre of his time, but it was above all in opera that he brought characters to life musically. In Don Giovanni from 1787, at the end the statue of the murdered Commendatore comes to fetch the seducer, with the menacing chords from the overture. He died in 1791 at the age of thirty-five and left his Requiem unfinished.
