Origin of Symmetry
From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Work
Origin of Symmetry is the second studio album by the English band Muse and was released on 18 June 2001. The producers are John Leckie and David Bottrill. After the tour for the debut Showbiz, the group first recorded four songs with Bottrill, including Plug In Baby, Bliss and New Born. Leckie followed, with recordings at places including Sawmills in Cornwall, Real World Studios and David Gilmour's houseboat Astoria. For Megalomania the band recorded a church organ in a church in Bath.
Matt Bellamy now wrote about science fiction instead of broken hearts. The album is regarded as their breakthrough, reached number three in the United Kingdom and received mostly good reviews for its mix of rock and classical. It was not released in the United States until 2005.
