Plug In Baby

From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Song

In March 2001, Plug In Baby by Muse was released, a band from the small English seaside town of Teignmouth. Singer and guitarist Matt Bellamy played fast runs that sounded like classical music, with lots of effects. Muse carried on the line of progressive rock and Queen: big, dramatic and technical. In the years that followed they became one of the biggest stadium bands in Europe.

Listening

Listening tip. The guitar riff of Plug In Baby sounds like a fast run by Bach, but played through a distorted guitar.
