Rave
From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Genre
Rave · In 1987, English DJs came back from Ibiza and began acid house nights in clubs; the summers of 1988 and 1989 became the Second Summer of Love. Parties moved to warehouses and fields, until a law in 1994 gave the police the right to shut them down. Jungle, drum and bass, big beat and IDM came out of rave.
