Trip hop
From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Genre
Trip hop is a form of downtempo from the producer scene of Bristol, where sound systems played reggae, hip hop, soul and punk all mixed together. Massive Attack emerged from the collective The Wild Bunch. Slow, heavy breakbeats, samples of old records, a deep reggae bass and singing that is more atmosphere than story.
