Whispers

From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Work

Whispers is the second studio album by Thomas Anders, released in 1991. Paul Muggleton and Mike Paxman, who also worked for Nick Kamen, produced the album, and Stephen W Tayler mixed it. Some of the songs come from writers for Roxette (Per Gessle) and Jennifer Rush (Candy DeRouge). The opener The Sweet Hello, the Sad Goodbye is by Per Gessle.

The album contains a remake of the classic Can't Give You Anything (But My Love) by The Stylistics, which was also released as a separate video clip. Judie Tzuke and Don Snow, formerly of Squeeze, sing backing vocals. East West Records released the record in, among other countries, Germany and France.
