Hurry Up Tomorrow
From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Work
Hurry Up Tomorrow is the sixth studio album by the Canadian singer the Weeknd and was released on 31 January 2025 on XO and Republic Records. It goes with the film of the same name and completes the trilogy that began with After Hours (2020) and Dawn FM (2022). In September 2022 he lost his voice during a performance at SoFi Stadium, after which album and film were thoroughly revised, according to him. He hinted that this may be his last album under his stage name.
The music is mainly synth-pop and R&B, with excursions into, among other things, Brazilian funk and hip hop. Guests include Anitta, Justice, Travis Scott, Florence and the Machine, Future, Playboi Carti, Giorgio Moroder and Lana Del Rey. The singles were Timeless, São Paulo and Cry for Me. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and topped the charts in sixteen countries. Critics praised the production, the lyrics and the vocals.
