Aha Shake Heartbreak
From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Work
Aha Shake Heartbreak · The second studio album by Kings of Leon was released in Europe in November 2004 and in the United States in February 2005, with a different cover. As with its predecessor, the producer Ethan Johns was behind the controls, at his Three Crows Studio in Los Angeles. It housed the old mixing desk from Abbey Road, on which the Beatles had also worked.
The title comes from the third song, Taper Jean Girl. Because of coarse language in that song, among others, as well as Rememo, Soft and Four Kicks, it is the band's only album with a Parental Advisory. The British version shows a white orchid on a black background and includes the bonus track Where Nobody Knows. The Bucket, Four Kicks and King of the Rodeo were released as singles. The reviews were generally favourable, and Rolling Stone later placed the album at number 39 among the best records of the 2000s.
