Look Into the Future

From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Work

Look Into the Future · Look into the Future was released in January 1976 as the band's second album, again on Columbia Records. The members toned down the markedly progressive character of their debut and chose a more focused approach. Even so, some experimentation remained, especially in the title track and in I'm Gonna Leave You. The title track is the longest song the group ever recorded. There is also a cover of The Beatles' It's All Too Much, known from the film Yellow Submarine.

Rhythm guitarist George Tickner co-wrote two more songs, but then left the group. Four members remained: Gregg Rolie on keyboards and vocals, Neal Schon on guitar, Ross Valory on bass and Aynsley Dunbar on drums. Glen Kolotkin was co-producer and engineer.
