Blue Wonder Power Milk

From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Work

Blue Wonder Power Milk is the second album by the Belgian band Hooverphonic. It was released on 11 May 1998 on Columbia Records and is the first record with the singer Geike Arnaert. In August 1998 an American release followed on Epic Records. The photograph on the cover shows the interior of the Atomium in Brussels.

A writer for AllMusic called the record dream pop, indie pop and trip hop. According to him, the songs are interwoven with string arrangements and pulsing dance beats, which gives a sleepy feeling. Club Montepulciano, This Strange Effect, Eden and Lung were released as singles. Eden reached number 12 on the Walloon Ultratop.

Listening

Listening tip. In Eden, listen to the strings and the beat. Notice whether you can hear the sleepy feeling that a reviewer says the record has.
