Still I Rise

From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Work

Still I Rise was released on 21 December 1999 by Interscope Records as a collaboration between 2Pac and the Outlawz. The album consists of unreleased but reworked material, mostly from the time he was signed to Death Row Records. Part of the original Outlawz line-up is missing: Hussein Fatal had left because he refused to sign with Death Row.

Production came from his regular producers Tony Pizarro, Johnny J and QDIII. Big Syke and Nate Dogg appear as guests. The only single was Baby Don't Cry (Keep Ya' Head Up II), with the female group H.E.A.T. Letter to the President can be heard in the 2001 film Training Day. The album entered the US Billboard 200 at number 7 and later went platinum.
