Issues
From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Work
Issues is the fourth studio album by the American nu metal band Korn. It was released on 16 November 1999 by Immortal and Epic Records, with Brendan O'Brien as producer. The drummer David Silveria described the new music as simpler and heavier, with grooves more like those of the early years, and said that the singer Jonathan Davis had become a much better singer. In October 1999 the band put Falling Away from Me on their own website as a free MP3, against the advice of their lawyers. For every fan who signed up, the group donated money to two children's charities, which raised more than 250,000 dollars.
The cover was a fan design, chosen through an MTV contest. The album reached number 1 on the Billboard 200. To mark the release, the band played the entire album in order at the Apollo Theater in Harlem, where soul and R&B were normally the sound. The reviews were mixed.
