From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Work
De ti depende is Héctor Lavoe's second solo album and came out in 1976 on Fania Records. Willie Colón produced the record and also wrote a number of the arrangements. Jerry Masucci was executive producer. In the chorus, Rubén Blades and Colón himself, among others, sing along, and Yomo Toro plays guitar. The sound is salsa from New York, with trombones, trumpet, conga and bongo.
The first single, Periodico de Ayer, is regarded as one of the most popular salsa songs ever. The album has eight pieces, including Vamos a Reír un Poco, Consejo de Oro and Mentira.
