Pot Luck

From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Work

Pot Luck with Elvis is Elvis Presley's seventh studio album and was released on 18 May 1962 on RCA Victor. Recording took place between March 1961 and March 1962, at Radio Recorders in Hollywood and at RCA Studio B in Nashville. The album reached fourth place on the Billboard chart.

The writers Doc Pomus and Mort Shuman supplied most of the songs. Don Robertson, Otis Blackwell and Paul Evans also contributed. That's Someone You Never Forget came from Presley himself, together with Red West, perhaps as a remembrance of his late mother. (Such an) Easy Question was later released as a single. The record made the top ten, but the soundtrack albums G.I. Blues and Blue Hawaii sold far more. After that Presley made no studio album for seven years, until From Elvis in Memphis.
