WAKE UP
From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Work
WAKE UP · Wake Up was released on 24 December 2014 in Japan on Pony Canyon. It was the first Japanese studio album by the South Korean boy band BTS and the second album overall. Of the thirteen tracks, three are Japanese versions of Korean singles from the preceding months: No More Dream, Boy in Luv and Danger. In addition there are two new, originally Japanese songs, The Stars and Wake Up.
The three singles had already been released as CDs in Japan. The album entered the Oricon albums chart at number three, the highest position the group had reached there until then, and stayed in that chart for thirteen weeks. With more than 28,000 copies it became the group's best-selling album in Japan at that point. In February 2015 the first Japanese tour followed, taking in Chiba, Osaka, Nagoya and Fukuoka.
