From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Genre

Boerenrock · Normaal was founded in 1975 in the Achterhoek around the singer Bennie Jolink and sang in the Achterhoek dialect. Oerend hard (1977) is about two drunken motorcyclists who ride home far too fast after a motocross event, with an accident as the result. The band performed in farmers' smocks and wooden clogs; this music became known as boerenrock, farmers' rock.
