Anne Dudley

Anne Dudley studeerde aan de Royal College of Music en werd in de jaren tachtig bekend als lid van de elektronische popgroep Art of Noise. Daarna ging ze filmmuziek schrijven. Haar doorbraak was The Crying Game (1992), met klassiek orkest en subtiele synthesizers. Voor The Full Monty (1997) won ze een Oscar voor beste komediescore. Daarna werkte ze aan American History X (1998), met koor en groot orkest. Voor Paul Verhoeven schreef ze de muziek van Zwartboek (2006) en Elle (2016). Dudley combineert een klassieke orkestopleiding met haar ervaring als popproducer. Ze werkt even makkelijk met orkest en koor als met studiotechniek.

Toen Verhoeven na zijn Amerikaanse jaren terugkeerde naar Nederland voor Zwartboek (2006), werkte hij met de Britse componist Anne Dudley, die in scène 11 terugkomt.
