Popsong, rock & compilatiescore · Eind jaren zestig ontdekten filmmakers dat bestaande popsongs een film konden dragen. Mike Nichols gebruikte in The Graduate (1967) liedjes van Simon & Garfunkel. Burt Bacharach schreef voor Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969) het luchtige ‘Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head’.
