Yes
From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Album
Yes is the debut album by the band Yes, released in England on 25 July 1969 by Atlantic. The group had been formed in the summer of 1968 with Jon Anderson, Chris Squire, Peter Banks, Bill Bruford and Tony Kaye, toured around England and signed with Atlantic in March 1969. The recording took place in the spring of 1969 at Advision and Trident Studios in London, with producer Paul Clay.
The album contains covers of Every Little Thing by the Beatles and I See You by the Byrds. Beyond and Before, written by Squire and Clive Bailey, opened the live shows and contains three-part harmonies that quickly became a trademark. Critics were positive, but the album did not reach the charts in either country.
