Good Bye Lenin!
From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Work
Good Bye Lenin! · This album is the soundtrack of the 2003 film Good Bye, Lenin!, starring Daniel Brühl and Katrin Sass. Almost all the music was written by Yann Tiersen. The only exception is the sung version of Summer 78, sung by Claire Pichet.
The music recalls Tiersen's best-known film work, the soundtrack of Amélie, which was strongly influenced by French music. A piece from Amélie, Comptine d'un autre été : L'après-midi, is heard in the film during the family's first outing to West Berlin, but is not on this record. In some regions the album was released with Copy Control, a copy protection.
