Hysteria
From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Work
Hysteria is the fourth studio album by the Human League, released on 7 May 1984 by Virgin Records. After the worldwide success of Dare in 1981, the group had trouble putting together a follow-up, and the recording went with difficulty. The title refers to that period. The producers Martin Rushent and Chris Thomas dropped out and Hugh Padgham finished the album.
The album reached number 3 in Great Britain and went gold, but fell short of its predecessor. Three singles reached the UK top 20, only The Lebanon made the American chart, at number 64. Rock Me Again and Again and Again and Again and Again and Again (Six Times) is a cover of a 1973 song by Lyn Collins and James Brown. I Love You Too Much is a heavily remixed version from the EP Fascination! and Don't You Know I Want You an adaptation of the instrumental B-side Total Panic!
