Indeed!
From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Work
Indeed! is the debut album of the trumpeter Lee Morgan. He recorded it on 4 November 1956 and it was released that same year by Blue Note. Alfred Lion produced, and Rudy Van Gelder was at the controls.
He plays in a quintet with the alto saxophonist Clarence Sharpe and a rhythm section of the pianist Horace Silver, the bassist Wilbur Ware and the drummer Philly Joe Jones. The repertoire is diverse and comes from various writers: Roccus by Silver, Reggie of Chester and Stand By by Benny Golson, and Little T by Donald Byrd. The pieces last from almost four to well over eight minutes. AllMusic gave the record three stars. The CD also contains an alternate take of Little T.
