I'll Give All My Love to You

From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Work

I'll Give All My Love to You is Keith Sweat's second studio album and came out on 12 June 1990. It was his last record on Vincent Davis's Vintertainment label, which shortly afterwards severed its ties with Elektra. Sweat produced the album himself, together with, among others, Teddy Riley and Bobby Wooten.

According to Rolling Stone, the album is about love that is lost, found and won back, and about lust, over heavy synthesizer rhythms. Make You Sweat and the title song became his second and third number 1 hits on the R&B chart, and both also reached the pop top 20. Merry Go Round and Your Love Part 2 reached the top 5 of the R&B chart. The album reached number 1 on the R&B albums chart and number 6 on the Billboard 200. A Los Angeles Times reviewer missed Riley's input as a producer.
