Royal Bed Bouncer

From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Work

Royal Bed Bouncer was, in 1975, the third album by the Dutch progressive rock group Kayak. Nine of the ten songs were written by keyboardist Ton Scherpenzeel. Only the instrumental Patricia Anglaia came from drummer Pim Koopman. Gerrit-Jan Leenders and the band themselves produced the record. In the Netherlands it was released on EMI, in the United States on Janus Records, with a different cover.

Chance For A Lifetime was the only single and reached twentieth place in the Dutch chart. In 1997 this line-up reunited for a Dutch television programme in the series Classic Albums. Together with a few concerts, that eventually led in 1999 to a restart of the group.
