Together is the eighth studio album by the Dutch rock band Golden Earring. It was released on 16 June 1972 on Polydor. The lineup consisted of Barry Hay (vocals, flute, saxophone, guitar), George Kooymans (guitar, vocals), Rinus Gerritsen (bass guitar, keyboards) and Cesar Zuiderwijk (drums). The band recorded the album in March 1972 at Island Studios in London. Fred Haayen produced. Kooymans wrote all the songs, except Cruisin' Southern Germany by Hay. The album was not released in the United States.

The music is hard rock with progressive elements. The album has eight tracks, of which Brother Wind, at 7:54, is the longest. The single Buddy Joe was released in April 1972 and reached number 3 in the Netherlands, number 5 in Belgium and number 12 in Germany. The album itself reached number 6 on the Dutch Album Top 100 and number 33 in Germany. AllMusic gave it three out of five stars.

Listening

Listening tip. Listen to Brother Wind (7:54) and Cruisin' Southern Germany (3:00) back to back and notice how much room the band allows itself in each track: Barry Hay sings both, but one lasts almost three times as long as the other.
