Anyone Who Had a Heart
From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Work
Anyone Who Had a Heart is Dionne Warwick's second album. It was released in 1964 on Scepter and produced by Burt Bacharach and Hal David, the writers who had shaped her career since her debut.
The title song became her first top ten hit on the American Billboard Hot 100. Three songs came directly from her first album, Presenting Dionne Warwick from 1963: Don't Make Me Over, This Empty Place and I Cry Alone. They are exactly the same recordings, not new takes or mixes. The album was later reissued on CD in a digitally remastered edition.

Listening tip. In Anyone Who Had a Heart, listen to Warwick's voice and notice how she sings the melody and the words of the title.
