Night Rocker
From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Work
Night Rocker is the debut album of the American actor David Hasselhoff. It was released in January 1985 on Silver Blue Records and produced by Joel Diamond. On the front he sits on the bonnet of a black Pontiac Firebird, the same car as KITT from the series Knight Rider in which he starred, with a guitar in his hands.
Three songs are duets with Catherine Hickland: Our First Night Together, No Way to Be in Love and Let It Be Me. All three could be heard in the episode of Knight Rider titled Let It Be Me. In this way the record was closely tied to his television work. The album reached number one in Austria and was certified platinum there. In Germany it also reached the top thirty.
