Look to the Rainbow
From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Work
Look to the Rainbow is a 1966 album by Astrud Gilberto, with arrangements by Gil Evans and Al Cohn. Evans did most of them, Cohn two tracks on the second side. The eleven tracks are short, often only two to three minutes.
The repertoire combines bossa nova by Antônio Carlos Jobim, João Gilberto and Carlos Lyra with songs such as Once Upon a Summertime, I Will Wait for You and the title track Look to the Rainbow. On Berimbau, Dom Um Romão plays percussion, and I Will Wait for You features a trumpet solo by Johnny Coles.
