How to Be a… Zillionaire!

From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Work

How to Be a… Zillionaire! · How to Be a ... Zillionaire! was released in October 1985 and is the third album by the English pop band ABC. It was the only record on which the founders Martin Fry and Mark White worked with the new members Eden and David Yarritu. The two appeared on the cover as performers and had little or no musical input. The foursome were depicted as cartoon characters, on the cover and in the videos, and wore striking costumes and played fake instruments at mimed performances.

Four singles were released: How to Be a Millionaire, Be Near Me, Vanity Kills and Ocean Blue. Be Near Me did best in the United States, where it reached number nine. The album itself reached number 28 in the United Kingdom. In 2005 a digitally remastered CD with eight bonus tracks was released.
