Invaders Must Die

From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Work

Invaders Must Die was released on 23 February 2009 on the new label Take Me to the Hospital. Recording began in February 2006, shortly after the compilation Their Law, and ended in November 2008. Liam Howlett saw the record as a mashup of the previous albums. After Leeroy Thornhill's departure, all band members took part in the writing for the first time. It is also the group's only album without explicit tracks.

The title song was first a free download. James Rushent co-produced it together with Omen, which reached number four in England. Dave Grohl plays drums on Run with the Wolves, and Stand Up is the only instrumental. Critics reacted in a mixed way, but the album topped the charts in England, for the fourth time in a row.
