Make It Happen

From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Work

Make It Happen from 1967 is an album by Smokey Robinson & The Miracles. It contains ballads such as the hits The Love I Saw in You Was Just a Mirage and More Love, and the swinging The Tears of a Clown, which was written with Stevie Wonder and his producer Hank Cosby. Wonder also co-wrote After You Put Back the Pieces and My Love Is Your Love (Forever). Holland-Dozier-Holland supplied the danceable It's a Good Feeling.

Three years after the album appeared, The Tears of a Clown was released as a single and reached number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and the British chart. For that reason the album was reissued under that title in 1970. AllMusic gave it four and a half stars and called it the group's most underrated album of the 1960s.
