Op fietse

From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Song

In 1997 Op fietse by Skik was released, the band of Daniël Lohues from Drenthe, sung in the Drenthe dialect. The song describes a bike ride through the south-east of Drenthe, where Lohues grew up. Lohues sang about ordinary country life, without exaggeration. After Normaal and Rowwen Hèze, Skik showed that even a gentle song in dialect could be played all over the Netherlands.

Listening

Listening tip. Hear the relaxed guitar pop and the Drenthe dialect, like a bike ride on a summer's day.
