From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Song
In March 2007 Umbrella by Rihanna was released, written by Terius The-Dream Nash and Christopher Tricky Stewart, with Kuk Harrell and Jay-Z. It was first offered to Britney Spears, but her record company let it go. This is how songs pass from artist to artist in the hit factory. Umbrella reached number one in many countries and became one of the best-known songs of the decade.
