Another One Bites the Dust

From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Song

Another One Bites the Dust by Queen was released in August 1980. Bassist John Deacon wrote the bass riff, inspired by the disco group Chic. On Michael Jackson's advice they released it as a single. The song reached number one in America and was also played on black radio stations. A stadium band had a funk hit, and not every rock fan was happy about that.

Listening

Listening tip. The bass riff recalls Good Times by Chic. Also hear the sounds that have been played backwards.
