Bark at the Moon

From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Work

Bark at the Moon is Osbourne's third solo album, after he had left Black Sabbath in 1979. It was released in late 1983 and was his first record with guitarist Jake E. Lee. Drummer Tommy Aldridge played only on this album. Bob Daisley was on bass, Don Airey played keyboards, and Max Norman was co-producer and engineer.

The title song was released as the first single, with the first music video the singer ever made. Many fans thought the choice of the ballad So Tired as second single was pointless. A quarrel arose over the credits: officially everything was in the singer's name, but Lee and Daisley said that they made a large part of the music and the lyrics. Now You See It (Now You Don't) was, according to Daisley, a dig at Sharon, the singer's manager and wife, who had fired him in 1981. The album was a commercial success and quickly went gold in the United States.
