Girls, Girls, Girls
From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Work
Girls, Girls, Girls is Mötley Crüe's fourth studio album, released on 20 May 1987. It was the last collaboration with producer Tom Werman, who had also made Shout at the Devil and Theatre of Pain. The record took on a blues rock-influenced sound, which was positively received. The singles are Girls, Girls, Girls and You're All I Need, and Wild Side became an MTV favourite.
Mick Mars's guitar sits more clearly at the front of the mix than on Theatre of Pain, wrote The Georgia Straight. That paper heard in Dancing on Glass, Five Years Dead and the title track something of the excitement of the debut, with a guitar riff in the spirit of Aerosmith. Ultimate Classic Rock called Wild Side one of the band's most complex compositions. The album reached number two on the Billboard 200 and went four times platinum.
