Dig It
From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Work
Dig It is Klaus Schulze's thirteenth album and was released in 1980. It is his first fully digital recording. The composer plays synthesizer, guitar, drums and keyboards, works with computers and also sings. Fred Severloh also plays drums. In 2005 Revisited Records reissued the album, the sixth of his that this label reissued. That edition includes a bonus DVD with the performance at Ars Electronica in 1980, which had previously appeared as audio on The Ultimate Edition from 2000.
The opening track Death of an Analogue later became the main theme of the Australian horror film Next of Kin from 1982, starring Jacki Kerin and John Jarratt.
