Audentity
From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Work
Audentity is Klaus Schulze's fifteenth album and was released in 1983. Like its predecessor Trancefer, it leans heavily on sequencers, but the style is less harsh, especially in Cellistica and Spielglocken. Besides the composer, Rainer Bloss (sounds and glockenspiel), Michael Shrieve (EEH computer and Simmons percussion) and Wolfgang Tiepold (cello) take part.
Not every track revolves around sequencers. Sebastian im Traum, named after a collection of poems by Georg Trakl, points ahead to the operatic style of later works such as Totentag. A short sequencer phrase from this track can be heard in Michael Mann's 1986 film Manhunter. In 2005 the album was reissued by Revisited Records, with a different track order.
