Be Seeing You
From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Work
Be Seeing You is Dr. Feelgood's fifth album and was released in October 1977. It was the first album after the departure of Wilko Johnson, with the guitarist Gypie Mayo in his place. Nick Lowe produced. The title is a catchphrase from the cult series The Prisoner, which was enjoying a new popularity at the time. The cover plays on this: it bears the text produced by Number 2 for Number 6, the band wear blazers with piping and scarves, and badges came with it. The photograph for the front was taken in the band's own pub, the Admiral Jellicoe.
The songs are short, often around two to three minutes, and consist of original work and covers, including by Nick Lowe, Johnny Guitar Watson and Isaac Hayes. She's a Wind Up became the group's second song on the British singles chart. In October 1977 the album reached number 55 on the British albums chart and stayed there for three weeks.
