Crazy for You

From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Work

Crazy for You was released in August 1990 and is the fourth studio album by the American actor and singer. The producer Jack White, with whom he had worked since 1988, also led this album. Their collaboration had begun with Looking for Freedom, a big hit in Europe that spent eight weeks at number one in Germany. During the promotion of the album that followed, Hasselhoff was already recording new songs.

Besides White, Charles Blackwell, Mark Spiro and Diane Warren, among others, co-wrote. The title song, Freedom for the World and Let's Dance Tonight were released as singles. The album did particularly well in Europe: it reached number one in Austria and Switzerland and became the best-selling album of his career.
