Emotions in Motion
From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Work
Emotions in Motion was released on 23 July 1982 as Billy Squier's third studio album. He produced it together with Reinhold Mack, as with its predecessor Don't Say No, and Mack was also known for Queen's The Game. Guitar and vocals came from Squier himself, and Bobby Chouinard played drums.
On the title song, Freddie Mercury and Roger Taylor of Queen sing backing vocals. The sleeve was made by Andy Warhol. Everybody Wants You was the biggest hit and spent six weeks at the top of the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. Emotions in Motion and She's a Runner were also released as singles, and Learn How to Live received a lot of airplay. The album reached the top five of the Billboard chart and went gold and platinum within a few months.
