Can’t Get Enough
From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Work
Can’t Get Enough · Can't Get Enough is the third studio album by Barry White and was released on 6 August 1974 on the 20th Century label. He not only wrote the songs and sang them, but also co-arranged them alongside Gene Page, and even came up with the idea for the sleeve, which was painted by Al Harper.
The album became his third number 1 on the R&B chart and also topped the Billboard 200. Two singles reached the top of the R&B chart: Can't Get Enough of Your Love, Babe and You're the First, the Last, My Everything. Both also did well in the United States and the United Kingdom, and the second became a number 1 there. The critical response was not equally friendly everywhere, since Robert Christgau mainly poked fun at the clichés in the lyrics. Rolling Stone did include the album in its list of the 500 greatest albums.
