Urban Solitude

From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Work

Urban Solitude is the second studio album by the Dutch pop and rock singer Anouk Teeuwe, from 1999. She produced it herself, with Ronald Trijber as co-producer and engineer. The idea for the cover is also hers. She wrote the music and lyrics together with Bart van Veen, who worked on eleven of the thirteen songs.

The record yielded four singles. R U Kiddin' Me reached number two on the Dutch chart, Michel number three, The Dark number eight and Don't number thirteen. In the Netherlands the album went platinum, in Belgium gold. On My Best Wasn't Good Enough, Dinand Woesthoff sings along. The album has thirteen tracks, from In the Sand to My Friend.
