Bollywood film music
From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Genre
Bollywood film music · In the Hindi films from Mumbai, Bollywood, songs are a fixed part of the story. The actors do not sing themselves: playback singers record the songs, and the actors lip-sync. Lata Mangeshkar and her sister Asha Bhosle sang thousands of film songs together. The music blends Indian classical and folk music with Western orchestras, jazz, rock and, later, disco and electronics.
Listening
