David Arnold

David Arnold uit Luton begon met muziek voor studentenfilms van regisseur Danny Cannon. Zijn eerste grote filmscores schreef hij voor Roland Emmerich: Stargate (1994) en Independence Day (1996), met groot orkest, koor en heroïsche koperthema's. In 1997 maakte hij het album Shaken and Stirred, met nieuwe versies van Bond-liedjes door popartiesten. Daarna mocht hij Tomorrow Never Dies (1997) schrijven. Hij werd de Bond-componist van zijn generatie en schreef vijf Bond-films, tot Quantum of Solace (2008). Arnold mengt de koperklank van John Barry met elektronische beats. Met Michael Price schreef hij de muziek voor de tv-serie Sherlock (2010).
