Ding-a-dong

From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Song

On 22 March 1975 Teach-In from Enschede won the Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm with Ding-a-dong, sung by Getty Kaspers. It was the fourth Dutch victory, and for a long time the last. The cheerful song also became a hit outside the Netherlands, in England among other places, just as ABBA had a year earlier with Waterloo. After that it took 44 years before the Netherlands won again.
