Caught You
From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Work
Caught You is the third album by the reggae band Steel Pulse and was released in 1980. In the United States it came out under the title Reggae Fever. It was the band's last album for Island Records. Singer and guitarist David Hinds wrote almost all the songs.
The ten songs still carry heavy messages, for example in Harassment and Nyahbinghi Voyage, but a reviewer at AllMusic noted that the band's jazz leanings were now in the foreground. Trouser Press called the record Steel Pulse at its most pop-oriented, while also finding the lyrics too often preachy and clichéd.
Listening
Listening tip. Listen to Harassment and notice how a serious message is delivered here by a band that also shows jazzy colours.
