Feuer und Flamme

From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Work

Feuer und Flamme was released in 1985 and is the third album of the German pop group, and the fourth studio album of the singer Gabriele Kerner, who became known as Nena. It followed the success of 99 Luftballons from 1984. The album was successful and reached number two in Germany.

After that success, Nena made an English-language version of the album, It's All in the Game, with lyrics by the Canadian singer Lisa Dalbello. That experiment failed commercially and was not repeated for the next album. Du kennst die Liebe nicht was re-recorded as the fifth and last single, with different vocals and a different instrumental backing. In 2002, Kerner recorded a bilingual version of Anyplace, Anywhere, Anytime with Kim Wilde.
