Animals
From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Song
In June 2013, Animals by seventeen-year-old Martin Garrix from Amstelveen was released. The track became a hit across Europe and a staple at festivals. Garrix had made it at home, in his bedroom studio. In the same year Hardwell was voted the world's best DJ. With Tiësto, Armin van Buuren and Afrojack, Dutch producers shaped a large part of dance music.
Listening
Listening tip. Animals has almost no vocals. Listen for the drop: a bare, hard synthesizer riff over a stomping beat.
